Job Summary

• As Business Intelligence manager you are responsible for leading and managing a team of BI specialists, who support data driven decision making across the organisation. This role involves overseeing the development and implementation of Business Intelligence solutions, ensuring data accuracy, and providing strategic insights to drive business growth, good customer outcomes and growth.
• This role requires a deep understanding of business intelligence techniques and services. The role is a technical role and as such you will have a wealth of experience in driving data-driven decision-making across the organisation. You will be able to tackle complex problems using a range of methods, guiding your team through a constant test and learn culture, helping to raise the bar and to help innovate.

What You'll Do

• Leadership management: lead and manage the BI team, including hiring, training, and performance management. Provide mentoring and guidance to team members to foster professional growth and development. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align BI initiatives with business goals and priorities.
• Business Intelligence strategy and planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive BI strategy to meet CLUKs analytical needs. Identify opportunities for improving data collection, storage, and analysis processes. Define key performance indicators and metrics to track business performance and progress towards goals.
• Data analysis and reporting: Conduct in-depth data analysis to uncover insights and trends, and present findings to key stakeholders. Design and develop reports, dashboards, and visualisations to communicate complex data in a clear and actionable manner. Ensure data accuracy and consistency across all BI solutions and reports.
• BI tool management: Evaluate, select, and implement BI tools and technologies that best meet the organisation's needs. Oversee the administration, configuration and maintenance of BI platforms and systems. Stay informed about emerging trends and advancements in BI technology and recommend innovations to enhance capabilities.
• Stakeholder engagement: Partner with business leaders and departments to understand their BI requirements and priorities. Collaborate with IT teams to ensure alignment between BI solutions and infrastructure. Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels to gather requirements, provide updates, and present insights.

Who You Are

• Likely to have a degree or master's in business administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• Proven experience (7 to 10 years) in business intelligence, data analysis, or a similar role
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate the team.
• Expertise in BI tools and technologies, such as Power BI, Tableau, or QlikView
• Proficiency in SQL, data modelling, and data visualisation techniques
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
• Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving business impact through data-driven decisions
