**7am - 7pm or Waking Nights 7pm-7am - Rota available (must be able to do 12 hour shifts)**

**£12.40 - £15 per hour depending on shift and pay type**

*No personal care

We are working with a service that specialises in providing individual services for vulnerable Young People aged 16 to 21, who are going through the transition of Leaving Care. Their principal aims are, the provision of high quality shared living and community-basedsupport services for Young People with a broad spectrum of needs on an individual basis.

The company provides accommodation, support and guidance to vulnerable young people from 16 years onwards. Most interventions involve providing and supporting young people, whilst working in partnership with social workers and other professionals aroundthe young person to develop their independent living skills. They focus on creating a caring and supportive interaction between staff and young people. Promoting independence and the opportunity for each young person to achieve, so they may grow in self-confidenceand self-awareness.

Role will include accompanying young person on trips, sightseeing etc; supervison; report writing; encouragement and tidying up.
- **Requirements**_
- Immediate availability
- Level 2 NVQ Health & Social Care / Equivalent or Degree
- Experience working in care/support with young people
- Enhanced DBS on the update service
- Minimum 2 references
- Computer literate for submitting reports
- Good communication skills are required for report writing and engaging with young people

**Responsibilities**
- Providing exceptional high levels of support during all daily activities-such as socialising, learning, guidance
- Ensuring that young person is safe
- Communicating effectively and building strong relationships that will empower the young adults to be free to grow and develop
- Ensuring that the environment is safe, supportive and enjoyable

You will work with young adults who have varying degrees of needs. Your aim is to promote their confidence and independence and support them to work towards living independently.

You will have a chance to work with a supportive team whose common goal is to empower and support wherever is required.
