We’re seeking a friendly, compassionate and experienced person to join our Supported Living service as a Support Worker to support our customers to achieve their own independence. Set on the edge of Well Street Common, Park Lodge has 25 one-bedroom flats. We provide personal care and support for adults aged 18 to 65, with a range of mental health needs.

**The role of Support Worker will include**:

- Regular key working and support planning to ensure relevant support is provided for our customers
- Enabling and encouraging our customers to maximise their own potential and level of independence
- Assessing customers’ needs by writing and updating support plans
- Promoting safe working practices by undertaking risk assessments within legislative frameworks
- Working with statutory and non-statutory agencies on behalf of the customers, actively encouraging choice and involvement, acting as an advocate when required
- Sourcing innovative solutions to problems that allow customers’ independence to be enhanced

**Skills and experiences**:

- Experience of working with people who have mental health needs
- A sound knowledge of housing management including voids and arrears management is desirable
- An understanding of occupancy agreements is desirable
- Excellent communication and listening skills
- The ability to work on your own initiative
- NVQ3 in Health and Social Care, or willing to work towards
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel or similar
