**About Us**

Esteem Supported Living is a small family run business based in South East London. **We are CQC registered** & provide expert domiciliary and supported living care services for children and those aged 16 and over.

We support individuals facing homelessness, care leavers, individuals struggling with addiction, those with physical disabilities, learning disabilities, brain injuries and specialised mental health needs.

**About The Role**

As a Support Worker in our team, you will play a crucial role in providing compassionate care and support to individuals with challenging mental health conditions.

Responsibilities include:

- Providing high-level, specialized support to individuals with complex needs or challenging behaviors.
- Promoting independence
- Ensuring a safe and nurturing environment
- Providing support and assistance to individuals in need, including seniors, patients, or those with disabilities
- Assisting with daily activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and medication reminders
- Offering emotional support and companionship to clients
- Helping with light housekeeping tasks and maintain a clean and safe environment
- Accompanying clients to appointments or outings as needed
- Following care plans and instructions provided by supervisors or healthcare professionals

**About You**

Qualifications:

- Prior experience in caregiving or support work is preferred
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Ability to provide quality care and assistance to individuals with diverse needs
- Knowledge of first aid and basic medical procedures is a plus
- Willingness to learn and adapt to the specific needs of each client
- Ability to perform heavy lifting or physical tasks as required

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary contract

**Salary**: £11.00-£13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1 - 35 per week

**Education**:

- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

- Home care: 2 years (preferred)

- English (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (required)

Work authorisation:

- United Kingdom (required)

Ability to Commute:

- South East London, Greater London (required)

Ability to Relocate:

- South East London, Greater London: Relocate before starting work (preferred)

Willingness to travel:

- 75% (required)
