This role offers the opportunity for an already experienced and proactive accounts assistant to develop their skills and gain greater autonomy whilst under the guidance of their manager.

You will have your own portfolio of clients to look after, under the guidance of your manager.
**Main Responsibilities**:
- Bookkeeping, bank reconciliations and control accounts.
- Preparation of VAT returns and submissions.
- CIS Filing
- Client Payroll including pensions submissions.
- General administration duties e.g. tax registrations, new client paperwork.
- Making sure records and database is up to date at all times.
- Ability to prioritise and work under pressure to meet statutory deadlines for VAT, Payroll, Accounts and Personal Tax.
- Liaising with HMRC.
- Respond to client questions within expected timescales.
- Assisting team members as required.
**Skills, Knowledge and Experience Required**:
- Commercial awareness is essential.
- Excellent attention to detail and has a strong understanding of accounting processes as well being proactive in predicting client needs.
- Have the ability to work both individually as part of a team and to take responsibility of their own workload.
- Being able to work to strict timelines and accuracy in data input is essential.
- Experience in running a limited company payroll/CIS/P11D would be beneficial.
- Good computer skills and understanding of cloud accounting practice software. Experience with Xero, Hubdoc, Dext preferable but not essential as full training will be provided.
- Excellent multi-tasking ability.

**Salary**: £25,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
