**Factory Operative**

**Location: Chessington, Surrey**

**Hours/Shift: Day Shift 7am - 7pm, 4 days on 4 days off on rotation**

**Salary: Starting £10.47 per hour, with fantastic opportunities to earn up to £12.12 per hour within the next 3-6 months, overtime available at 150%**

New England Seafood International (NESI) was established in 1991 and is an importer and processor of premium fresh and frozen sustainable fish and seafood. NESI employs circa 650 people across two sites in the UK and imports a wide range of wild and farmed fish and shellfish from all around the world. We are part of the Sealaska Corporation, an Alaska Native corporation formed in 1971 and which is owned by 22,000 Tlingit, Haida and Tsimshian shareholders, who are all bloodline descendants of the first settlers to the Americas.

We are currently in the search of **full time permanent** Food Production Operatives to join our day shift. You will be working with a great team who are fun and supported by leaders who themselves have grown through the business and are waiting to pass on their knowledge and expertise

**Tasks include**:

- Set up machines (calibration, cleaning, start up checks etc.) to start a production cycle
- Control and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed)
- Feed raw material or parts to semi-automated machines
- Loading products into trays and bags as per customer specifications
- Preparing finished products ready for despatch and deliveries
- Ensuring all products and packaging are correctly labelled
- Adding cardboard sleeves to packed products.
- Ensure all stock being loaded or unloaded matches the relevant paperwork / load plan.
- Maintaining a safe, clean and tidy working environment
- Manual Handling Equipment in a safe and timely manner.
