Operational Excellence Intern

):


This internship will provide the successful applicant an opportunity to spend time in a fast-paced manufacturing business based out of London, UK.

This program will focus on developing you and your leadership skills, as well as supporting you to expand your business knowledge at an international level.

Travel and accommodation will be arranged on your behalf.

Responsibilities:

Learning Outcomes:

  • Exposure to key areas involved in the daytoday operation of a factory plant (Stock Control, Planning, Food Safety, Health & Safety, Engineering, Operational Finance, People Management and Continuous Improvement)
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement projects with respect to Production and Process Excellence,
  • Experience and involvement in project work including installation of new equipment / machine modifications, or implementation of new factory processes etc.
  • Development of your business acumen and leadership skills

Qualifications:

Program Eligibility

  • Sealaska shareholder or descendant of a shareholder
  • Currently enrolled in postsecondary institution or recently graduated
  • Ability and willingness to travel internationally
  • Commit to 6week program timeline
  • Must be over 18 years old
  • Must have passport and sponsored work visa through NESI by program start date

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Interest in Operations Management and Continuous Improvement Techniques
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
  • At least a 2.5 GPA
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to both collaborate with a team and work independently
  • Selfstarter with ability to adapt to a fastpaced work environment

  • You must successfully complete a background check prior to onboarding at Sealaska
