Royle Farm is a small family estate with industrial warehouses, fish ponds, forestry, wedding venue and wedding accommodation. **Job description**:
We are looking for an adaptable and enthusiastic Maintenance Person / Skilled Labourer to take on maintenance at Royle Estate who is friendly, self-motivated, hardworking, and reliable. The individual will have responsibility for the upkeep of all the buildings onsite, and are involved in repairs, renovations, and new construction as well as general estate maintenance works.

Gardening will play a large part of the wedding accommodation upkeep. From time to time the work role will vary to help assist with any projects that management see fit, such as assisting with setting up for a wedding in a particularly busy week.

**Duties Include**:
Repairs and maintenance of all buildings - gutter cleaning and repair, door repairs, painting, cleaning.

Grounds maintenance - weed control, road repairs, grass cutting, fencing, land improvement.

Estate maintenance - shrub maintenance, pathway grass cutting, trim trees, land improvement and planting.

Gardening - hedge pruning, weed control, laying slabs, pathway maintenance, planting, garden design, lawn cutting and sweeping.

Light building work - basic joinery, plumbing, groundwork.

We are looking for a mature person either part time or full time, minimum 2 days a week and flexible up to 5 days a week if wanted. We believe that employing someone is a 2 way street, we support our employees and take an active interest in their well being outside of work and in return they support our business and us when needed. Our team is made up of part time mature staff, who have bonded very well and we would like to add like minded individuals who have had a lot of life experience and are looking for a nice place to work.

A few of our workforce are self employed and between us we agree on hours and provide an agreed minimum amount each week to give security to the individual alongside their other business interests. We are flexible for the right person.

**Experience needed**:

- Working with machinery
- Hand tools
- Garden equipment and general gardening
- Grounds maintenance

Tasks will require knowledge of power tools such as hedge trimmers, chainsaws, lawn mowers, and most hand tools and might require knowledge of basic building such as joinery, plumbing, painting, and groundworks.

A full driving licence is required, and experience with small diggers, farm vehicles, or landscaping experience such as slabbing would be an advantage.
