**The Role**:
M&G are looking for a Junior Sales Associate to join the Insurance Solutions Team. The Insurance Solutions Team was formed in 2019 in order to maximise M&G's competitive advantage as both asset owner (Insurer) and asset manager. Within M&G it bridges Distribution,Investment Management and Provision of Insurance.
The team has a broad remit to grow global insurance AUM through designing and delivering products / solutions for Insurers. This involves coordinating strategy, building and advising on suitable products, developing strategic partnerships with third-party insurersand ensuring best in class service to develop and maintain existing business.
This is a great opportunity for Graduate level applicants with strong analytical skills and a passion for joining the Asset Management industry.
**Key Responsibilities for this role**:

- Work closely with other members in the Insurance Solutions team, the Investment teams and regional Sales teams with a focus on supporting efforts to grow 3rd party AUM.
- Help to create sales pitch presentations and client management updates
- Help to answer queries from external clients when required
- Learn about insurance clients, intermediaries and competitors in all markets
- Work with the insurance solutions team and wider business to:

- Ensure the upkeep of global insurance market and client mapping. Working with regional sales to develop and share intelligence on clients
- Help and lead on thought leadership and virtual and in-person marketing opportunities
- Attend industry events to improve personal knowledge and M&Gs network
- Assist with RFPs, award submissions, team operational documentation, short form marketing etc.
- Responsibility for the upkeep of insurance related metrics (fund SCRs etc.)
- Help to build out our insurance database tooling which will help with the analysis of insurer balance sheets and identifying opportunities - driven by Power BI preferable
- Work with the team on developing strategic asset allocation and portfolio construction models for maximising Return on Capital and improving cash-flow matching
- To work collaboratively with colleagues and take personal accountability to maintain and enhance controls you are responsible for to support improvement of the overall control environment, customers outcomes and a reduction in M&G's operational risk.

- Analytical mindset

- Eagerness to learn about the complexity of Insurers and willingness to deep dive into regulation
- Quick learner and capable of working on a wide variety of projects
- Self-motivated and ability to work on own initiative/prioritise workload to strict deadlines
- Experience using PowerPoint and Excel preferable
- Great opportunity for someone interested in joining the Asset Management industry
- Ambitions to complete professional qualifications (IMC, CFA, CAIA, Certificate in ESG) desirable
