**Job Title**: EDI Officer

**Salary**: Scale SO2, Points 32-34, £30,118 - £31,886 per annum, pro rata

**Hours of work**: Part Time (22.5 hours per week)

**Main Duties**:

- Work alongside Senior Management and stakeholders to clarify, articulate and drive our EDI Strategy and action plan, reviewing impacts for colleagues, young people and stakeholders and adapting accordingly.
- Use our data and monitoring to inform our actions to embed equitable approaches to achieve equality and reflect the diversity of young people and communities at all levels in our organization and governance structures.
- Audit and review the current policies, procedures, and practices to identify the areas of improvement from an EDI perspective.
- Develop, review and work with others to embed our EDI strategy across the organisation.
- Reducing identified gaps, evaluation of initiatives, engagement with systems to support continual learning and improvement.
- Host the EDI working group quarterly and support EDI champions.
- Ensure our development and recruitment pathways strengthen the diversity of the workforce and create an inclusive culture at St Basils.
- Be the champion to promote EDI from within the workforce, influence all levels of the workforce to prioritise inclusive practices within the day-to-day work.
- Be responsible for overseeing all EDI upcoming plans and events, ensuring a consistent flow of relevant information in suitable formats for colleague awareness.
- To uphold St Basils’ commitment to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion by actively demonstrating these in all aspects of work and interactions with both internal and external parties.
- Liaise with young people via our Youth Advisory Board to discuss our EDI strategy.
- Empower communities across all teams and play a key role in stretching the ambition of St Basils. Help us to learn by providing challenge and support.

- Professional qualification in related disciplines.

**ROLE EXPERIENCE**
- Experience of leading the development and implementation of strategic and operational EDI work.
- Experience of developing others to achieve excellence and meet targets.
- Experience of influencing a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

Experience of providing training in EDI
**KNOWLEDGE**
- In-depth knowledge of The Equality Act 2010.
- Cultural sensitivity and knowledge of EDI best practice.
