**Media and Communications Volunteer Opportunity at ACCG**

ACCG, a registered charity providing health and social care services in Manchester, is delighted to offer an exciting Volunteer opportunity. This is a non-paid position that offers valuable experience and the chance to give back to the community.

**Particular skills we are looking for in this role**:

- Commitment to ACCG goals and Values
- Ability to work within ACCG policies and guidelines
- Experience of using Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Youtube and Tiktok
- Good written and communication skills, with an accuracy and good attention to detail.
- Ability to think creatively when sharing content
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and motivated to work as an individual
- Ability to deal in a professional manner when communicating online
- Basic digital photography/ videography experience will but useful but not necessary

**Any additional skills you bring will help us to create a space that reflect the needs of the local communities as well as understand and create sustainable projects that will financially support the cost of restoring and managing the building.**

**You will be asked to fulfil these duties**:

- Establishing an/ or maintaining active social media accounts and website
- Researching and creating creative content for different social media channels
- Identifying opportunities to establish relationships with local community groups
- Advertising volunteering opportunities and diversifying online presence by developing other potential social media channels
- Keeping up to date with ACCG campaigns and promoting this across the difference channels
- Thinking of innovative ways to drive online engagement
- Identifying target audience and being up to date with current trends

**Weekly basis**:
Minimum 4 hours per week (min 16 hours per month).

Volunteers will have the position for 6 months (this term can be extended if required).Volunteers will need to negotiate their time with the Lead Volunteer and Operations Manager or other relevant persons at ACCG.

Volunteers will be reimbursed for agreed out of pocket travel and lunch expenses on a daily basis. Volunteers can also negotiate other perks which might help them find full time work or cover additional costs incurred.
