The post has been developed to provide advanced specialist training in otology, the use of the laser in otology, the use of endoscopes and mirrors in otology and neurotology. The department has an international reputation for its development of laser techniques in otology and was the first ENT department to use Leica 3D imaging for teaching in theatre.
Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Trust was formed in April 2002 and became a second wave Foundation Trust in July 2004. Gloucestershire is well known for its natural beauty, cultural and leisure activities.
