**NW Recruitment services are working with our prestigious client to recruit a Stock Controller / Purchaser the main duties will be:

- **

Implementation of stock control for common components

Take responsibility for the purchasing process, to include goods in procedure, quality control, identifying and reporting any discrepancies with inbound stock, following up late deliveries etc
- Generate Purchase Orders using Sage 200

Maintain and strengthen existing supplier relationships using supplier performance analysis

Negotiate with key suppliers to ensure best prices and practices are achieved

Source new suppliers where necessary, based on cost reduction or lead-time requirements

Visit key suppliers and potential new suppliers when necessary.

Ensure materials are ready and available for production and other internal requirements

Maintaining required stock levels and Monthly stock take to ensure stock records are accurate

Manage time effectively, prioritise tasks and achieve set targets

Conforming to ISO 9001:2015 Quality System

**The experience you will have will be extensive as follows.**

2+ years’ experience in a stock control environment or purchasing role
- Previous experience in Sheet Metal or Engineering
- Good level of English, verbal and written communication

Commercial and financial awareness

Experience in Sage Line 50 Stock Control and Purchasing (desirable)

Competency in Microsoft office packages

**Extra experience**

Forklift operators certificate (desirable) Full Driving Licence(desirable)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £25,000.00-£28,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Nelson: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Procurement: 1 year (preferred)
- Purchasing: 1 year (preferred)
