In this role, you will support the Data Protection Officer in meeting the organisation's data protection obligations, through the design and implementation of efficient policies & processes. **Your Duties**:

- To support the development and implementation of all data protection policies, processes and procedures. Including maintaining a regular review cycle
- Effectively engage with the organisation and service providers to ensure statutory deadlines are met
- Support the Data Protection Officer in responding to and managing data breach incidents, including leading investigations where appropriate
- Advise stakeholders on the completion of effective Data Protection Impact Assessments
- To create and maintain documentation that provides evidence of legal and regulatory compliance based on the accountability principle
- To carry out any administrative duties as required, in relation to the Data Protection function
- Review supplier contracts, including Model Clauses and International Data Transfer Agreements, needed to implement projects/services in partnership with colleagues in Procurement
- Manage and provide advice on all individual rights, including technical measures, required to ensure these rights are acknowledged and fulfilled within legal timeframes
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures and operate within the highest standards of management and personal behaviour, which reflect the core values and behaviours of the organisation
- Promote equality of opportunity and access in service delivery and in the employment of staff

**Your Profile**:
It is essential that applicants have a minimum of:

- 5 GCSE passes at grade A-C, NVQ level 2 or equivalent
- One years’ employment experience in a role providing advice in regards to Data Protection
- Where applicants do not hold the qualifications as outlined above, they must demonstrate a minimum of two years’ experience
- Competent in Microsoft Office Applications including Excel, Word, databases and Outlook
- It is essential that applicants hold a full (i.e. not provisional) and current UK driving licence and access to a car or
- have access to a means of transport which would enable the applicant to carry out the duties of the post. *Applies only to applicants who have a disability under the Disability Discrimination Act
