**Job Description**:
Mission and Main Objectives:
NMUK Finance department have a full-time vacancy at Controller grade in the Product Costing section based in Sunderland.

Outline and Responsibilities:

- The product costing section is primarily responsible for maintaining, forecasting and reporting NMUK parts costs.
- There will be regular contact with personnel from several different areas of the business including Purchasing, PEC, TdC and OPD Group.
- This role will report to the Product Costing Senior Controller

Main Tasks include:

- Supporting the preparation / reporting of NMUK variable cost actuals to senior management
- Supporting the preparation / reporting of NMUK variable cost Business plan/Fcast to senior management
- Providing TdC with input/analysis of parts costs
- Consolidating Mass TdC plan / actual for parts costs
- Supporting purchasing with cost reduction reconciliations / validation of manual parts cost reduction

Experience and Qualifications Required:
Examples of specific tasks;
- Working closely with purchase and local team to validate and challenge purchase manual cost reduction proposals
- Coordination of key monthend close processes within local team. This includes ad hoc problem solving and non-standard analysis.
- Gaining a strong understanding of upcoming part deletions / cost movements / design changes through relationship with local TdC and purchase teams.
- Preparation / reporting of NMUK variable cost (FM3) for monthly actual, BP, forecast. This covers the scope of 4 local teams in addition to product costing: Inventory, Direct Materials, Inhouse, Logistics.
- Day to day management of Admin officers in the local team: first point of contact with queries, issue resolution etc

It is key that the Controller within product costing has a close working relationship both with local team members and the wider NMUK plant functions to ensure control and accuracy of reporting on plant variable cost.
