Cambridge, United Kingdom Darktrace Full time

Founded by mathematicians and cyber defense experts in 2013, Darktrace is a global leader in cyber security AI, delivering complete AI-powered solutions in its mission to free the world of cyber disruption. We protect more than 8,400 customers from the world's most complex threats, including ransomware, cloud, and SaaS attacks.

Headquartered in Cambridge, UK, Darktrace has more than 2,400 employees located globally. Customers include public sector agencies, education institutions, media, organizations supplying critical infrastructure, and businesses of all sizes worldwide.

Working as part of the Reward Team and in close collaboration with the wider People and Talent Acquisition Teams, you will play an important, hands on role in coordinating and managing our key compensation activities, including salary benchmarking, pay ranges and pay analysis across our global business.

We are looking for someone who can dive into our compensation data and really make the most of the internal and external sources we have available to us, to provide pragmatic insights, analysis and recommendations in support of our Reward strategy. Working with our HR and talent teams, you will play a key role in creating and maintaining our job profiles library in Workday, ensuring we have clarity of roles and consistent and appropriate pay ranges in place across our global teams.

**The role is based in Cambridge and can be hybrid, ideally with 2 days per week in the office.**

**Key responsibilities will include**:

- Comprehensive internal and external benchmarking of salary data, working in partnership with internal teams and external vendors to make the best use of the data available to us;
- Maintaining our market data, responsible for the submission of pay and benefits data to external pay and benefits surveys (primarily Aon Radford), gathering information as required from the Benefits Specialist and Share Plan Manager;
- Working collaboratively with the wider People and Talent Acquisition teams to carry out job evaluations and propose/maintain internal pay ranges based on job evaluation, internal relativities and career path structures
- Maintaining our job profile library in Workday, including job grades and pay ranges, and mapping back to appropriate benchmarking data
- Internal EDI analysis of roles and salaries to identify equal, gender and ethnicity pay trends and actions required. Formal Gender and Ethnicity Pay Gap reporting is not part of this role but working to analyse and interpret the outcome and recommend specific areas of focus and action will be.
- Understanding pay transparency legislation in all our global locations and working towards an approach that works for Darktrace
- Supporting, and eventually taking a lead on, the calendar of reward activities such as pay reviews, bonus awards, etc
- Contributing to our bonus plan design as we evolve
- May be required to assist on benefits projects from time to time to support the Benefit Specialist

**What we are looking for**:

- Experience of collating and submitting data to external salary surveys, preferably using Aon Radford Global Tech Survey and Sales Surveys
- Experience of internal job evaluation, preferably using the Aon Radford methodology
- Strong HRIS system skills, preferably in a Workday environment using Workday HCM and Advanced Compensation
- Experience of working as part of a wider People team to propose pragmatic business solutions, always being mindful of the wider implications of information communicated
- Structured and systematic approach with the ability to work proactively and collaboratively with colleagues and key stakeholders
- High analytical and numeracy skills with excellent attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate reporting and data analysis and insights
- Advanced Excel skills
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, including presentation of data to a non-technical audience
- Experienced in setting priorities and project plans to meet deadlines, with the ability to be flexible when required to manage changing needs and priorities

**_Desirable:_**
- In depth experience of Workday system set up
- Experience of submitting data to Aon Radford Sales and Global Technology Surveys
- Previous experience of US Compensation and regional variations
- Experience of pay benchmarking at senior or executive level
- An HR or reward qualification and/or previous experience in a wider HR role beyond Reward
- Specific Benefits experience is not required but an interest in supporting where needed is preferred
