**Responsible to ** Club Secretary/ Manager

**Essential Experience**:

- Bookkeeping: AAT Part/ Fully qualified
- 2 years minimum experience in accounting/ administration role

**Could/ would suit somebody looking for;**
- Step up from bookkeeping and basic administration
- Broader accounting and finance experience
- A stable, friendly club environment

**Responsible for **The maintenance of all Club accounting systems and records, processing information into accounting software and producing reports. This includes all aspects of accounts payable and receivable, preparing and posting VAT returns, monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations and general administration.

**The role is varied, and the present post holder has the following key responsibilities**:

- Income recording
- Purchase invoice recording and accounts payable
- Sundry sales invoicing
- Payroll processing
- Membership records
- Controls over till EPOS systems
- Inventory
- Staff Training
- Cash control
- General Administration
- Month end and Management accounts
- Annual processes including;
- VAT annual return
- PAYE/ NI annual summaries
- Liaison with auditors
- Annual return to the Financial Conduct Authority

**Experience and Skills desired**:

- Excellent excel skills including spreadsheets and knowledge of accounting principles are vital
- Proven experience in a bookkeeping role is essential
- Working knowledge of Croft Software preferred
- Good computer literacy
- Problem-solving abilities and willingness to use your own initiative to drive improvements in processes
- The ability to work unsupervised to meet regular deadlines
- A can-do attitude and willingness to get involved in a range of office duties
- Good attention to detail and organisational skills

**Job Type**:Full-time/ Permanent
