**Job description**:
As the People, Organisational Design (OD) & Change Advisor, you will support both the Change Manager and the Organisational Design and People Impacts Manager, ensuring successful transition and adoption to the new ways of working for Change Management and People Impact activities.

This is an excellent opportunity for you to support people and teams in the changes that a transformational programme brings, supporting the Department for Transport (DfT) Group, and Executive Agencies, to transition to a new shared service provision from HMRC’s Unity Business Services, as part of the Unity Programme.

**Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to**:

- Managing change and OD Community of Practice across the Department to support implementation of the change management strategy, OD and People impacts plans across the Department.
- Supporting collaborative working relationships across Departments and with Unity Programme colleagues to ensure that messages are effective, products are impact assessed and all outputs are fit for purpose for use across DfT.
- Planning, monitoring, and maintaining project information, ensuring that reviews are undertaken following completion of key deliverables and stages.
- Supporting key business change and OD activities and documentation e.g., change impact assessments, change plans, change tool kit, business readiness approach and tracking.
- Being flexible and adaptable to undertake any other duties and reasonable programme wide requests as demand arises.

**Person specification**:
You will have prior experience of working within either a project or programme environment and have knowledge of change management processes, including experience of delivering end-to-end change management and/or Organisational Design experience.

You will be an articulate communicator, who demonstrates confidence in liaising with a diverse range of stakeholders, both verbally and in writing. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and will enjoy actively engaging with a range of contacts, developing positive and trusting relationships.

As well as being an excellent team player, you will be a proactive self-starter, who thrives working independently and using your initiative to make decisions with confidence.

You will either already hold at least one of the following qualifications or will be willing to work towards this once in the role:

- Certificate in Change Management Practise.
- Organisational Design foundation level.
- CIPD level 3 or higher.

**Additional Information**

A minimum **60%** of your working time should be spent at your principal workplace, although requirements to attend other locations for official business, or carry out detached duty in another DfT workplace, will also count towards this level of attendance.

This role is available to individuals who wish to be spending their office time in Swansea, Hastings, Leeds or Birmingham, and we would also expect the individual to be willing to occasionally travel to alternative DfT offices.
