**Accounts Payable Specialist**
- The Position:
- The AP team is split, due to differing processes, between Stock and Overhead. The AP Specialist will work across both disciplines to support the whole team.
- Not only will you process transactions, you will be the AP “super user” and first line support for AP issues. You will therefore have a keen interest in how systems work with a tenacious approach to problem solving.
- Seek to identify and implement process improvements in the short term and be key contributor to future system transformation projects.
- Collaborate with colleagues in all departments whilst supporting the AP Supervisor in ensuring appropriate processes are in place for the efficient and timely approval and payment of supplier invoices.
- Help to ensure a high level of accuracy is maintined for all aspects of accounts payable transactions.
- Liaise with internal and external audit to ensure accounts payable compliance with audit requirements and that Standard Operating Procedures are up to date and maintained.
- You will not only to process information but be aware of how various systems work and integrate with others within the company.
- You should have strong systems skills with a focus on process improvement and re-engineering.
- Training will be given on Unit 4 Agresso and Schuh’s proprientary systems but you will bring strong Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to analyse and distil large volumes of transactional data for processing.
- Strong inventory and international supply chain experience would be an advantage but not a requirement.
- The role will report to the Accounts Payable Supervisor, who is responsible for the day to day running of the AP Team. You will be based from our Livingston Head Office a minimum of 2 days per week.

About the location
- Neilson Square is the home of our original warehouse and distribution centre, as well as many head office functions. Situated in Livingston, our site is in-between Edinburgh and Glasgow and very easily reached by car and public transport.
