Capital Projects and Property Manager - Healthcare - Temp to Perm / or FTC

An NHS Foundation Trust based in Staffordshire are seeking to appoint a Capital Projects and Property Manager to report to the Director of Estates and Capital Projects on a Temp to Perm basis. This is a full time role, circa 37.5 hours per week.
**Your new role
**Projects
- Controls and monitors Capital Projects and the overall Trust Capital Programme to ensure that schemes, including revenue funded maintenance schemes, for example as part of backlog maintenance reduction, are delivered in accordance with the approved budget,timescales and quality standards.
- Develops capital projects policies for the Trust, and scheme designs from feasibility through to detailed technical design, including the production of working drawings using CAD software, instructing and managing external consultants and project managerswhere additional support or expertise is required, preparing, presenting and obtaining agreement on derogations to healthcare standards where necessary.
- Develops briefs for capital building projects in liaison with Trust and external partner clients and advises them on timescales, cost estimates and the need to obtain statutory approvals, such as planning permission.
- Ensures that the projects maintain business focus, have clear lines of accountability and that the context, including risks, are actively managed in alignment with the strategic priorities of the Trust.
Property
- Provides professional advice to the Trust on all property related matters with regard to their portfolio.
- Manages the property portfolio to ensure that the healthcare services are operating from functional buildings at minimum financial cost, and applies professional commercial awareness in relation to property matters in advising the Trusts on strategic developmentproposals.
- Supports the Trust with property acquisitions and disposals, from business case stage to the point of acquiring premises, including the production of Schedules of Condition and Dilapidation surveys
- Undertakes and prepares property option appraisal reports (including financial budget costings), and leads on the technical aspects of feasibility studies and option appraisals for full business cases.
**What you'll need to succeed** You will have a mixture of Property Management and Capital Projects in any sector but an NHS background would be advantageous. You will have the relevant quals/experience for the role - MRICS would be advantageous. Sound knowledge of PFI contacts is essential.
