We are seeking a Commercial Lead our Government client based in Weybridge. This role will be office based 2-3 Days per week and the remainder remote. The Commercial Lead role will be an initial contract until 28/07, paying between £650 - £750/Day InsideIR35.

This role is inside IR35 - Due to the service of the role it will now be based on an Umbrella solution.

**Role Profile**:

- Principally to lead delivery of the enabling, infrastructure and logistics commercial pipeline, and as a point of contact to maintain excellent relationships on the pipeline for internal stakeholders
- Provide support for market engagement for the main works
- Managing a small team of procurement and contract management professionals, ensuring that agreed targets are met
- Delivering strategic, high risk, high value contracts and frameworks as part of a cross-functional team, ideally within a project design and construction environment
- Liaising with legal teams to draft contract terms and conditions, familiarity with NEC contracts
- Shaping major capital project procurements, managing key commercial risks, developing appropriate Procurement Strategies and undertaking pre and post contract award negotiations in order to achieve best value for money
- Ensuring personal and team compliance with PCR 2015, DgC policies, processes and procedures, PPNs and other government directives and good practice (i.e. construction playbook, social value)
- Producing senior management reports on progress of commercial activities against programme schedules
- Deliver value for money, achieving savings targets and sustainable outcomes in the procurement of works, goods, and services
- Leading by example in their approach to sustainability and communicating its importance, influencing others to improve their approach. Ensuring sustainability is considered throughout our work and is the responsibility of all
- Effectively managing contracts and longer-term supplier relationships
- Provide expert advice on commercial risk management and deliver mitigation plans / strategies to manage identified risks at corporate level
- Supporting their equality, diversity and inclusion culture within the team and organisation
