**The role**

As a Junior designer, the primary function of this role is to design commercial ranges and collections for BoohooMAN across both short and medium term time frames. This is completed with clear understanding of the Boohoo customer, and to support the commercial targets of the organisation.

The Design Team look for inspiration all around the world, along with street style, vintage shopping, music, sport, art, the catwalk and all things creative, to design the latest product for the range. It's all about newness, and finding and designing the most exciting product for our customer, whatever their style.

In the Design team, we make sure every brand has products they can be proud of. We design and influence everything the Group buys, so we’re a vital part of each brand’s identity. We’re there when inspiration strikes, looking at research and future-trend forecasts to see what our customers want to buy. **What you’ll be doing**
- Main role is to help deliver and complete projects within specified time frames in line with business requirements
- You will report directly into senior members of the team and support the senior team during and in preparation of presentations and strategy meetings
- Mentor and manage entry level, interns and assistant level team members. You are the catalyst for the assistant team, driving them to pull all information for seniors
- Responsible for driving a key department and product category in conjunction with senior team members
- Co-operate with the buying teams to drive product and support and collaborate with assistant designers to fulfil tasks in hand
- Ability to understand design briefs and develop ideas through to concept. Work closely with the buying and QC teams to ensure developments come in correct
- Ability to pull trend research and extract key messages for development using daily trade reports
- Ability to take in constructive feedback and produce quality work
- Responsible for keeping up-to-date with fashion trending messages, as well as updating fabric and trim sourcing packs
- Responsible for putting new reactions from daily new-in reports into work fast
- Ability to create CADs, new shapes and produce tech packs for production

- Computer Skills: Must be proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat & CAD
- Confident working across all multi categories with a strong creative mindset
- Ability to adapt and follow instructions quickly and easily
- Strong commercial handwriting and understanding of the boohooMAN brand and customer
- Fashion forward-thinking and directional trend eye
- Manages themselves in a professional manner at all times and keeps all information belonging to the company confidential
- Brilliant time management and resilience
- Comfortable working under your own direction or as part of a team
- Ability to communicate confidently, effectively and appropriately with colleagues, suppliers, wider team & senior members
- Flexibility to travel and work out of hours to ensure projects are complete to deadline
