As the Test Manager you will be responsible for the Quality Assurance at AdviserPlus and your primary purpose will be to ensure successful delivery of technical solutions through all testing activities to support business processes and support updates tonew and existing solutions.
You will be responsible for the line management of all testers within the business and will be required to provide guidance to team members on the theory and good practice for the Testing Framework.You will be responsible for driving continuous improvementfor the testing function and be expected to maintain the Testing Strategy for existing strategies.

**The role and responsibilities of a Test Manager**:

- Maintain Test Strategies
- Design and execute a wide range of testing techniques and communicate test results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Understand a range of standard functional and non-functional testing techniques and work with Development Leads to implement where necessary
- Coaching on best practice - advise others on testing techniques and frameworks and be able to research, plan and train others within the team.
- Test Analysis - ability to think creatively and ask the right questions to critically evaluate and communicate findings to the wider team. Lead investigative work into problems and opportunities in existing processes.
- Continuous Improvement - drive the collection of information and creation of recommendations for improvements. Ability to absorb large amounts of conflicting information and use it to determine solutions which can be applied to the business
- Line Management of all members of the QA Team - Provide leadership and direction to the Testers.

**Skills and experience required to be a successful Test Manager**:
Essential
- 3+ years’ experience working in a Lead Tester role
- 3+ years’ experience of Line Management
- Technical Breadth - stay abreast of industry developments to make cost-effective use of new and emerging test tools and technologies.
- Advanced ISTQB qualification - Test Manager/ Advanced Technical Test Analyst (or similar)
- Proven history in successful delivery of test solutions

Desirable
- Knowledge and experience of Agile (SCRUM / Kanban)
- Knowledge of multiple test frameworks and solutions to manage complexity
