Working for an award-winning company on the Wirral, this exciting QA Tester role sits within a team of systems experts who act as the gateway between client facing brands and the development team. The testing team are responsible for coordinating bug fixes, test plans, system releases and ensuring that bespoke systems and integrations are running seamlessly. The QA Tester will assess and ensure quality through manual test execution.

**Tasks & responsibilities include**:

- Reviewing and analysing system specifications.
- Creating test scripts for manual execution.
- Executing test scripts, reviewing, and communicating results.
- UAT testing for new functionality, bug fixes and version updates.
- Report bugs to development teams and communicate known issues to product stakeholders.
- Deliver high quality system updates and enhancements through detailed QA testing.
- Investigate test case failures, which includes working with XML and JSON files.
- Conduct post release testing.
- Contribute to knowledge base comments and articles to further internal and external knowledge transfer.

**Skills required**:

- Have experience as a Quality Assurance Tester or similar role (desirable, but training will be provided).
- Ability to troubleshoot and document errors (desirable, but training will be provided).
- Have a strong attention to detail, an analytical mind and a problem-solving aptitude.
- Are comfortable reading XML requests and responses (desirable, but training will be provided).
- Attend and contribute in a positive and objective manner at team meetings or any relevant departmental/company meetings.
- Acknowledge correspondence within set standards and timescales.
- Strive to continuously improve the quality (presentation, accuracy, and coverage) of information relevant to the business.
- Aim to “self-learn / develop” skills and understanding of industry practices, procedures and policies.
- Knowledge of Outlook, Excel and Word.
- Strong organisation, prioritising, and time-management.
