**CRY has an exciting new job opportunity**
You will be working for an established charity that proactively works to prevent young sudden cardiac deaths through awareness, screening and research as well as supporting families following a young sudden cardiac death.
We are looking for a Support Prog Assistant to join our friendly and welcoming team, in providing administrative support for CRY’s busy internal Support department. You will be efficient, organized, comfortable & growing in confidence with answering emotional and sometimes complex queries. You will enjoy supporting the team with any additional duties if needed. You will be flexible in your approach to working and have the ability to multi-task, juggling different priorities at one time.
**Main Duties**
- **First point of contact**: Engaging with bereaved people inc. recording their details. This does not involve providing counselling - in-house training is given on how to manage these calls.
- **Primary telephone answerer**: Managing general enquiries and directing calls to the appropriate department.
**Donation Support**:
- Assisting CRY supporters who have queries relating to donations.
**Administrative tasks**:
- **Data recording**: Assisting with maintaining and updating records relating to CRY’s bereavement support services & CRY database. Administration for recording data (for office use only) from referral reports sent by the CRY Centre for Cardiac Pathology.
- Preparing literature information packs.
- Managing the process for ‘return to sender’ mailings returned to CRY.
- Ensuring that records are kept in accordance with general data protection regulations (GDPR and related legislation).
- Filing and photocopying
- Miscellaneous administrative tasks at the request of senior management
- Other reasonable tasks as requested
**Quality Policy**
Due the sensitive nature of its work, all CRY staff are expected to hold a current DBS certificate.

- Good organisational skills - able to prioritise tasks and to change priorities as required
- Time Management - manage own workload; work to deadlines
- Calm under pressure; flexible with regards to last-minute changes in priorities
- Good general IT skills, including experience and competence in Microsoft Office (particularly Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Excellent attention to detail, spelling and grammar
- A ‘can do’ attitude - willingness to learn new skills and help with tasks even if not strictly part of your job description
- Empathic nature & appreciation of the sensitive nature of CRY’s work
