Job Opportunity for Psychology Graduates

We are seeking recent Psychology graduates to join our team as Learning Support Assistants in special needs schools and mainstream settings with specialist provision.

This is an ideal opportunity for individuals who are passionate about working with vulnerable children and want to gain quality, first-hand experience in a specialist school environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Providing assistance and supervision for children's behaviour during the school day
  2. Assisting children to understand and participate in class
  3. Assisting with note taking while supporting literacy and numeracy
  4. Working with a class, a small group or individual learners
  5. Encouraging the development of social skills and supporting students' individual needs
  6. Helping to build confidence and motivation
  7. Participating in team meetings and training programmes as an active member of a team
  8. Maintaining progress records
  9. Supporting regulations pertaining to safeguarding
Requirements:
  1. An Undergraduate Degree in Psychology is desirable
  2. Experience working with vulnerable children is also highly desirable
  3. Good general education levels in English and Maths - A Levels are preferable
  4. A co-operative working style and practical approach to solving problems
  5. Good interpersonal and communication skills and a caring attitude
  6. Flexibility in terms of working patterns
