About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Volunteer Coordinator. This is a newly created role that will support the Volunteer Manager in the development and delivery of our volunteer programme.

The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for volunteering enquiries and will be involved in all aspects of the volunteer programme, including recruitment, induction, management, engagement, and retention.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain a breadth of experience in volunteer coordination with increased responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective volunteer recruitment strategies to meet programme needs.
  • Provide excellent customer service to volunteers, stakeholders, and other team members.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of volunteer data, including training, induction, and programme participation.
  • Collaborate with the Volunteer Manager to develop and deliver high-quality volunteer training and induction programmes.
  • Engage and retain volunteers through regular communication, feedback, and recognition.
  • Contribute to the development of programme policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Conscientious and disciplined approach to work with good customer service skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others as part of a team.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy in producing precise, high-quality work.
  • Confident use of Microsoft Office, with strong attention to detail and ability to work with data.
  • Ability to develop and maintain harmonious relationships with volunteers, stakeholders, and team members.
