**The opportunity**
This is an exciting opportunity for an accomplished and enthusiastic HR Adviser to join our friendly and supportive HR team to drive initiatives that contribute to Mayo Wynne Baxter being a great place to work.
Our HR team proactively supports the firm’s ambitious growth strategy over the next 3 years, having recently joined Ampa - the UK’s leading group of legal and professional services companies.
As a result of this merger, our clients now have access to more than 900 experts across the group and our teams are part of a wider network with more opportunities for collaboration, support and development.
**Your key areas of focus will be**:
- To provide proactive, high quality advice to managers and employees on a range of HR aspects
- To proactively support Heads of Department and managers in leading and managing their teams
- To work with the HR & Recruitment Adviser to attract and recruit great talent from identifying requirements with the recruiting manager throughout the selection process to onboarding
- To promote diversity, inclusion, wellbeing and embedding our cultural values and behaviours, building on our people experience
- To lead or support on strategic projects and improvement activity across a range of people aspects
- To manage a variety of HR activity including induction, hybrid working and flexible working requests, DSE assessments and performance management processes
- To contribute to HR operations and administration including new starter process, benefits, salary review and health and safety
- To be a positive role model and adopt a can do approach to all your interactions with colleagues and other contacts
**Skills and experience you will have**:
- At least CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent experience
- A minimum of 3-5 years’ relevant experience working at a similar level
- Enthusiasm and ability to drive improvements to enhance our people experience
- Ability to influence and achieve positive outcomes working with individuals and managers
- Ability to provide a high quality and proactive HR service to managers and colleagues
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work to deadlines
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent organisation skills and experience with HR systems, Outlook, Word and Excel

We envisage this role will be a full-time position, but we are always willing to consider requests for flexibility. We embrace agile working and offer a blended approach to where and how we work.
We appreciate that people have different needs and preferences, and we’re keen to be flexible, after all, we value what you do, not where you do it.
We have offices in Crawley, East Grinstead, Lewes, Brighton, Eastbourne, Seaford and Storrington. This role will require you to attend different offices from time to time and can encompass some home working.
