**Position Overview**:
As an Animal Centre Assistant, you will play a crucial role in the daily operations of our facility, ensuring the well-being and happiness of our resident animals. You will be responsible for providing compassionate care, maintaining cleanliness, and fostering a positive environment for both animals and staff.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide daily care and attention to animals, including feeding, watering, and administering medications as directed.
- Monitor the health and behavior of animals, promptly reporting any concerns to management.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of animal enclosures, including living areas, exercise spaces, and common areas.
- Ensure all animals receive adequate exercise, mental stimulation, and socialization through enrichment activities and supervised interactions.
- Assist with grooming, bathing, and basic grooming tasks as needed.
- Follow established protocols for handling and restraining animals to ensure the safety of both animals and staff.
- Assist with administrative tasks, including record-keeping, scheduling, and client communication.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience working with animals in a professional setting, such as an animal shelter, wildlife rehabilitation centre, or veterinary clinic, is essential.
- Strong understanding of animal behavior, health, and care requirements.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for providing exceptional care and service to animals.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Physical ability to lift and carry animals of various sizes, as well as perform cleaning and maintenance tasks.
