As an Operational & Performance Planner, you will be required to live within Kent, Sussex or Hampshire as you will support our SE zone made up of circa 35 sites across these areas. You’ll be able to work from your local site/office or from home for up to 2 days per week dependent on the needs of the business and the requirement to be onsite for the remaining 3 days per week. You’ll need to be flexible for quarterly travel to our Warwick HQ to attend internal meetings. The Operational & Performance Planner will support the Operational Planning Engineers to optimise, prioritise and resource the operational plan within current year and year ahead timescales whilst supporting the Planning & Performance Manager and Operational Managers in monitoring and analysing zonal performance against key metrics as directed by the Head of Operations for the zone.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Support the development of a deliverable tactical plan
- Ensure area non-outage work allocation is accounted for in the tactical year ahead plan
- Escalate work not delivered/planning action from operational timescales into the tactical plan build
- Allocate trained and competent resource into the tactical plan with the Planning Engineers
- Unlicensed lead with ECS for the whole zone acting as SPOC for P&P team
- Act as OESB/EMI/TLR/DMRA planning lead
- Act as zonal performance lead
- Lead on planning/co-ordinating one off’s surveys
- Lead on planning issues including SVOP, DRM and Maximo
- Organise the safety weeks within the zone
- Co-ordinate completion of weekly outage delivery tracker
- Track work delivery for the zone assisting with reporting on deliverables as required
- Ensure outage and non-outage maintenance compliance targets are monitored and reported on
- Administer the data systems that support the asset operations Southeast team activities
- Produce standard materials to support improvement activity
- Carry out regular performance meetings with the OM’s

**Essential**:

- A full driving licence that permits you to drive in the UK
- An Engineering or Planning level 3 qualification or an equivalent recognised apprenticeship
- Significant experience gained from a Planner or Scheduler role within an operational environment
- Experience of working to KPI’s in a performance measured position
- Experience of collating performance related data
- Experience of planning processes and systems

**Desirable**:

- Experience of National Grid specific planning processes and systems
- Experience of National Grid Safety Rules, National Safety Instructions and Working Procedures
- Experience of managing resource plans
- Experience of tactical forward planning
