**Job Description**:
Role purpose

The Institutional Sales Team in London has been restructured to be more efficient in targeting the two clients' sectors which are covered by their mandate. The senior salespeople require support to take full advantage of client opportunities in the prime brokerage space targeting hedge funds, family offices, brokers and other professional trading firms. This role initially serves as sales and client support but will develop into a more independent sales function with experience.

What you will do
- Prepare materials for pitches and conferences.
- Participate in marketing events and conferences.
- Participate in pitches and prospecting with clients.
- Assist senior salesperson with desk and client account management.
- Assist in the development of client relationships to attract activity from other brokers.
- Help develop controls, policies, and procedures to support the sales desk in London.

- You should have 2-3 years (max. 5 years) experience in the Institutional sector which is preferred but prior roles do not need to be sales in nature.
- you need to demonstrate ambition and drive to get involved in the prime brokerage space.

The role will require a lot of physical interaction with clients and colleagues so the expectation is that the majority of the time the role will be operating out of the office in London. The office/home working days will be at the discretion of the senior salesperson to whom the role will report.

The IG Prime business is rapidly growing within the firm and demonstrating a strong contribution to the group. On that basis, the individual will have high-level exposure to the workings of the firm to represent the requirements of the institutional clients served.

Also, the sector has a broad range of client types which this role will understand, liaise and build relationships with. Additionally, the ecosystem includes many other professional suppliers which specialise in this sector, being law firms, administrators, technology suppliers, etc. and this role will require very close working relationships with this quarter to discover new & existing client prospects.
