Assistant Volunteer Coordinator

We share stories about life in the North East through our first class collections and visitor engagement. Ensuring a fantastic visitor experience is our number one priority and this is underpinned by excellence in customer care by always putting the visitor first. Over 400 volunteers help Beamish to bring to life the stories of everyday people in the Northeast through time. They have been an essential part of the Beamish community since the museum’s inception over 50 years ago. helping to grow, develop and innovate across a plethora of diverse voluntary roles. From the board of volunteer trustees to our youth groups, the restoration of collections, research, visitor engagement and health and wellbeing programs, volunteer contributions are a key facet to the museum’s ongoing achievements.
Are you a people focused person with excellent communication and organisational skills. If so you could be our next Assistant Volunteer Coordinator. You would maintain our success; working with our Volunteer Coordinator to help deliver the museum’s key priorities and organisational objectives. You will assist with continuing the momentum of recruiting, retaining, and developing our diverse volunteer opportunities across the museum.
