Reconnected To Health is led by Spectrum Community Health CIC delivered in partnership with Humankind and Tees, Esk and Wear Valley NHS Foundation Trust. Reconnected to Health launched on 1st April 2020, and provides quality care, promotes opportunities, and supports the best possible outcomes for individuals, their families and communities across Northeast prisons. The successful post holder will match our ambition and commitment to provide the highest standards of service quality and performance within this partnership.**About the role**
As a Building Recovery in Communities Coordinator (BRIC), you will work as part of a team to provide collaborative recovery planning and case management to people who have a history of using drugs and alcohol across all stages of individuals’ recovery journey, promoting positive and sustainable recovery and connections.
- You will play a pivotal role in engaging with service users, partner agencies, and individuals with lived experience of substance use. Your primary focus will be to manage peer mentors and peer representatives to deliver initiatives that establish visible recovery and increase opportunities for service users to achieve sustainable outcomes within communities.
- Drawing on your background and expertise, you will actively engage with our service users, encouraging and supporting them to shape the service, identify additional support services, and develop activities in their local community. This role provides autonomy to generate ideas and implement agreed changes to services.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Engage with service users, communities, partner agencies and individuals with lived experience to deliver initiatives for visible recovery.
- Increase opportunities for service users to achieve sustainable outcomes within communities.
- Actively engage with service users, encouraging and supporting them to shape the service.
- Identify additional support services and develop activities in their community.
- Provide understanding, hope, empathy, and inspiration to those in recovery.
- Collaborate with the team to improve our current offer to staff, stakeholders, and individuals in recovery.
- Organise and coordinate Recovery Events and activities

- You possess excellent time management skills and are able to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Your creativity enables you to think outside the box and generate innovative ideas.
- You have a proven ability to engage with people and facilitate change.
- You demonstrate empathy and inspire others to overcome challenges.
- You thrive in a team culture, working collectively and collaboratively.
- Your background in rehabilitation, prisons, or mental health services gives you valuable insight into the needs of individuals in recovery.
- You are eager to take on the challenge of implementing change and making a difference.
