**Summary of the Role**
Carnbrooke is a family-owned business who currently operate a modern 2500 sq. ft Butchery & Food Hall retail business in Lisburn, a retail store in Dromore and Food Service supplier to over 300 hotels and restaurants across NI. Our state-of-the-art facilities including kitchen and factory production are based in Lisburn. We are in the position to be looking for a Factory Intake Supervisor to join our growing business. You will be an essential part of the factor/butchery team and have a great passion for the trade.
**Main Duties**
- Loading/un-loading deliveries in a safe manner following all company procedures and policies.
- Booking in all deliveries onto company’s systems.
- Optimise storage areas to maximise access and meet different weight, size or shape requirements
- Safe storage of all raw materials and goods with good segregation and signage at all times.
- Checking all deliveries for damage reporting issues immediately to Quality team.
- Packing and dispatching customer orders, ensuring that orders are shipped accurately and packed to the high standards that our customers demand.
- Safe transportation and stacking of all materials taking care to prevent damage or loss.
- Use correct date rotation.
- Ensure all relevant records and paperwork are maintained
- Ensure the delivery of product for sale within specification.
- Ensure suitable product traceability records are maintained throughout the supply chain.
- Monthly Department Stock Take, ensuring accurate records are maintained.
- Minimisation of wastage, product going out of date, spoiled product etc.
- Liaise with relevant department to maintain and order stock as required.
- Observe, act, and immediately report any issues that may pose a threat to a safe working environment.
- Maintaining a safe and tidy work area
**Person Specification**
About you:
- Experience working in Intake/Dispatch, preferably in a food manufacturing environment
- Ability and willingness to work in a cold environment undertaking manual labour tasks
- Ability to use company systems to record accurate delivery/product information
- Ability to work independently and carry out tasks with little supervision
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills
- Good Communication Skills
- Flexibility to work additional/alternate hours depending on the needs of the business.
**Essential Criteria**
- Experience working in Intake/Dispatch, preferably in a food manufacturing environment
- Experience of stock management and stock rotation
- Experience in use of computerised inventory management systems
**Desirable**
- Forklift Licence
- Pallet Truck Experience
For those who have not worked in this sort of environment before, please be aware that because we are processing meat, the temperature of the air in the intake area is cold/chilled. Full personal protective equipment is provided (PPE).
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: £26,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
