**The Role: Factory Supervisor**
**Responsible for: Factory Operatives/ Butchers**
**Summary of the Role**
Our supervisors are an essential part of the management team, sharing responsibility for a number of key areas. With a natural flair for teamwork, Supervisors enjoy taking responsibility and are confident in thinking on their feet to resolve a variety of everyday challenges - all with a positive outlook while maintaining great communication and teamwork.
**Main Duties**
- Delivery of excellent service and maintaining high standards within the factory
- Identifying opportunities to increase productivity and reduce waste and downtime
- Ensuring the factory adheres to Health & Safety and hygiene Standards and ensure factory, is clean & tidy at all times.
- Creation and implementation of daily production schedules based on our Retail and Foodservice orders.
- Managing the team and delegating workloads as required.
- Ensuring completed orders are accurate and completed in a timely manner.
- Preparing staff rota's including weekend, annual leave and sickness cover.
- Motivating the team to provide a professional, friendly and enthusiastic service at all times with external customers and internal teams,
- Leading by example on food hygiene, stock management, and customer service and adherence to product specification
- Liaise with sales department to meet customer specifications and production lead times.
- Follow instructions and action feedback on outcome of Weekly Operations meeting and Quality Manager reports
- Co-ordinating stock take and act upon results to reduce errors, discrepancies and excessive stock holding of product.
- Staff Supervision, including conducting Return to Work Interviews, staff Investigations and ensuring full compliance to the Company's employment policies
- Ensure all new starts are trained to Carnbrooke standards, using company training induction plan.
- Act as key holder, opening and closing site, ensuring all security checks completed.
- Undertake any other duties, as considered by senior management to be within scope of role
**Person Specification**
About you:
**Essential Criteria**
- Experience of working in the meat processing/butchery sector.
- Knowledge of Food Safety Practices & Procedures.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Track record of attention to detail, consistent quality output and promoting excellent customer service.
- Ability to prioritise and delegate workload in a busy work environment.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team.
**Salary**: Dependant on experience
