Purchase Ledger Assistant

The position of Purchase Ledger Assistant, is a key role within the finance team working efficiently and ensuring the highest levels of accuracy. The position requires day-to-day accounting functions to be carried out and requires a team player who enjoysproviding input and support in improving process efficiencies and reporting capability.
**Client Details**
We are working with a very well established pharmaceutical company in the Warrington area recruit a new permanent Purchase Ledger Assistant.
**Description**
- End to end Accounts Payable function
- Processing and payment of 600 invoices per month using Sage and Solvitt
- Posting and allocation of bank transactions
- Preparation and processing of month end journals - accruals etc
- Credit card statement and expense claim processing
- Involvement in year end audit process, reporting and provision of information
- Provide cover for other team members as and when required
- Any other ad hoc analysis, information requests to support the business
**Profile**
- Experience within a similar position within manufacturing or wholesale would be desirable but not essential
- Excel skills useful - vlookup / pivot tables
- Numerate with strong analytical skills
- Highly motivated, self-starter, full of initiative and able to work autonomously
- Team player
