**About The Role**

Our Performance and Data Team is seeking a Management Information Officer to play a key role in supporting the delivery of children’s social care data that is responsive to new demands from both internal and external stakeholders.

The postholder will have exciting opportunities for the collection, collation, analysis, interpretation and dissemination of information and performance data to meet internal, external and statutory requirements.

Your work will support strategic and operational planning, performance management and management decision making processes.

**Key Responsibilities**:
1. Support the timely completion of statutory reporting to the Department for Education (DfE) and Ofsted.

2. Produce performance management information to meet the needs of managers and social work teams.

3. Be responsible for good data quality in the Children’s social care database (LCS).

4. Work closely with partners such as, the CCG and Heart of Hounslow to agree unified processes relating to LAC health.

**Your Skills**:
1. Knowledge of Management Information Systems (MIS), databases, management and data reporting tools, relating to Children’s Services, though not essential, would be advantageous.

2. Excellent ICT skills, ability to use Microsoft Excel to extract, manipulate and analyse data.

3. Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.You can relate effectively to colleagues at all levels.

4. Experience of working in an information management role, ideally within Children’s Services or a similar setting with an understanding of the issues relating to vulnerable looked after children, their families and Care Leavers.

**Essential for The Role**:
A Basic DBS check is required for this position.

This post is considered by the authority to be a customer-facing position; as such it falls within scope of the Code of Practice on English language requirement for public sector workers. The council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.
