**About us / Your Role**:We are looking for an experienced Health and Safety Professional to deliver high quality consultancy services, specialising in construction / CDM 2015 compliance. You will enjoy a varied working routine and be able to bring your expertise and experience to the role. This role will not be boring or mundane

You will be working with a small team of friendly, passionate, professional consultants. We make a commitment to supporting your development, working with you on your own Personal Development Plan (PDP) and opportunities for essential CPD, through training and career development.

**Main Duties**:Your time will primarily be spent supporting and advising our clients, undertaking site inspections and reporting, risk assessments, drafting safe methods of work, presenting toolbox talks, accident investigations and other activities associated within the fields of Health, Safety and CDM 2015 compliance, all whilst maintaining the best interests of the Client.

**Additional Duties**:When necessary, you may be required to assist our clients when dealing with enforcement agencies (HSE, Local Authority, etc); in their development and review of a Policies and H&S Management Systems; all aspects of Pre-Qualification Questionnaires (PQQ's) and H&S accreditation schemes (CHAS, Safe Contractors, Constructionline, etc)

**Essential skills/experience**:
Degree / Diploma Level qualification in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent

NEBOSH General Certificate (as minimum)

Membership of IOSH (Tech/Certified) with active CPD diary

Construction experience and good knowledge of the industry

Practised in delivering Health and Safety Consultancy Services to clients

Excellent knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation

Strong interpersonal skills and report writing abilities

A full UK/EU driving licence and your own vehicle for business use (travel reimbursement will be provided)

**Desirable skills/experience**:
Experience of Health & Safety management in other business sectors, inc. manufacturing

Ability to conduct Fire Risk Assessments (NEBOSH Fire or equivalent)

NEBOSH Construction (or equivalent)

Training delivery (i.e. Manual Handling, Fire Awareness, General Health and Safety, etc)

Implementing Health and Safety Management processes/systems

**Able to demonstrate the following.**

Strong commercial awareness to balance legal compliance versus realistic and collaborative Health and Safety management

Enthusiasm and a commitment for a career in Health and Safety and willingness to learn

Excellent written and verbal communication skills to enable you to explain and present health and safety processes to a diverse range of clients

Ability to understand and analyse complex information and present it simply and accurately

An investigative mind

Attention to detail

Flexible approach to reactive work requirements.

This is a physically demanding role, which includes lone working and working at height

IT skills proficient in MS Office packages and report writing software
