**The post holder will be responsible for providing technical and administrative support to the Road Safety Team. The post holder will work as part of the Network Management team with a view to support other officers and contribute to the successful delivery of Speed Management Strategy (SMS), Injury collision interrogations using our KeyAccident database, process scheme consultations with customers and other daily road safety work.**

**The individual will assist the team, who are responsible for reducing severity and numbers of annual traffic casualties.**

**The Role**

***
- **Support in the assessment of roads where enquiries have been received in relation to speeding problems, in accordance with the SMS policy and support in responding to such enquiries.**:

- **Assisting in the co-ordination, prioritisation and monitoring of road safety schemes and activities**:

- **Support the Road Safety Team in producing various external search requests and compiling data into a suitable format for review.**:

- **Liaise with the Cheshire East Council Client team, affected stakeholders and interested third parties where necessary.**:

- **Promote and encourage positive relations with fellow team members and undertake administrative tasks where necessary.**:

- **To contribute with positive and proactive communications to Elected Council Members, colleagues, interested parties and the wider public for all matters relating to road safety.**:

- **Any other duties appropriate to this area of work and consistent with the level of post.**:

- **Take responsibility for Health, Safety, Quality and Environment.**:

- **Other Ad Hoc duties to fulfil the requirement of the role.**

**About You**

- **Good written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills**:

- **An understanding of Highway Code**:

- **Experience with Google Maps and relevant software i.e KeyAccidents / Crash Map/ CONFIRM or similar.**:

- **Ability to prioritise own work to support business objectives and priorities.**:

- **Be self-motivating and able to manage own performance.**
