Trainee Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner Posts
Birmingham Healthy Minds are looking for individuals who are highly motivated, adaptable and flexible in their approach. Balancing the demands of the course with the fast paced nature of the role can be difficult, therefore excellent organisational skills and time management are a must.
These are commissioned posts; the course costs are covered and the salary for the post is funded locally. Applicants need to note that upon successful completion of the course there is an expectation that staff will take up the offered employment to enhance BHM expansion workforce plans with our commissioners to increase access to psychological therapies for our local communities.
As you develop your skills as a trainee PWP working for BHM you will be expected to deliver guided self-help interventions using a variety of medium including computerised CBT, Psycho educational workshops, one to one and telephone interventions under the supervision of a Senior PWP. As part of the role you will be expected to work some evenings which will involve co-facilitating 2 hour Psycho-educational workshops. Part of the trainee PWP role also includes actively reducing stigma of common mental health problems by mental health promotion in the wider community.
