**About the role**:
This ‘Outstanding’ SEND school, based in Sunderland, supports children and young people aged 5-11 and is looking to appoint a passionate **Primary Autism Classroom Assistant **to work in either Key Stage 1 or 2 classes on a full-time basis. Working in this Primary SEND school as part of an established team, the desired **Primary Autism Classroom Assistant **will be working on a small class sized basis with pupils with SEND including Autism (ASC) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD). This full time **Primary Autism Classroom Assistant **role is long term from March ongoing with the possibility of a permanent vacancy for the right person.

**Requirements**:
To be considered for the role of Primary Autism Classroom Assistant you will:

- Experience of working with primary school aged children.
- Experience of working with pupils with SEND.
- A passion for the progress of SEND primary school pupils.
- An ability to work as part of a team.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

- Relevant experience
