**About the Role**:
**GSL Education** are actively seeking a qualified **ASD Teaching Assistant **for immediate placement at Client Primary Schools in **Sunderland** **. **The schools are dedicated to creating a nurturing space where students with ASD can thrive. Join us an ASD Teaching Assistant to contribute to their growth, ensuring a supportive and enriching educational experience.

**ASD **Teaching Assistant **Role**:

- Offer one-to-one or small group support for Primary school students with ASD, facilitating their access to the curriculum.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and customized strategies to enhance the learning experience for students with ASD.
- Collaborate closely with classroom teachers to modify and differentiate lessons, ensuring alignment with the specific needs of students with ASD.
- Establish and maintain a structured, supportive classroom environment that fosters academic and social growth for students with ASD.
- Proactivity, resilience, kindness and empathy
- A full checkable work history
- Proven experience working with secondary school students with ASD.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Empathy and patience when working with students with ASD.
- A commitment to helping these students achieve their full potential.
