‘Privately owned residential development company seeking a Commercial Assistant to assist the Commercial Manager on the day-to-day project tasks.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist the Commercial Manager daily with tasks and phone calls for orders.
- Update and maintain variation, information issues and instruction logs for each live site
- Assist with on-site measures of work completed to establish the true value of work entitlement.
- Assist in the identification and valuation of variations
- Work on the value control systems developed to suit the commercial strategy
- Undertake basic commercial practice to minimise the company’s exposure to additional costs (i.e. re-measurement, good record keeping, material on-site checks, variation identification and pricing etc.)
- Assist in the management of Supplier/Consultant/Installer accounts.
- Assist in providing the necessary data to allow the accurate valuation of variations and risks & opportunities.
- Take an active role in the day-to-day running of the commercial site operations.
- Create and log purchase orders within the inhouse system.
- Contribute towards excellent record keeping being undertaken and maintained.
- Assist in the preparation of claim-related correspondence and associated supporting documentation.

**Experience**:

- Proficient knowledge of Excel.
- Previous experience in an administrative or assistant role is essential.
- Previous experience of working in a high peace environment.
- Flexible approach to working within a growing organisation, with the ability to be proactive and reactive to the wider commercial environment.
- Previous experience in a commercial assistant or quantity surveying role is preferred but not essential.

Highly organised with attention to detail when performing tasks, ability to anticipate and manage problems, with an ability to prioritise and escalate where necessary.

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Kirkham: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Construction: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)

**Salary**: £22,000.00-£32,000.00 per year

**Benefits**:
