**Job title**:Import Officer Team Leader

**Location**:Samlesbury - We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements

**Salary**: £52,084 + (dependent on skills and experience)

**What you’ll be doing**:

- To manage and coordinate the movement of products and equipment into the country within the relevant customs regulations
- To ensure cost effective and lawful execution of all import activities accurately reporting to the HM Revenue and Customs
- Management of all Air business duty and VAT liabilities; generation of source data, collaborate with Finance and functions for mitigation activities, as well as compile and issue reports to HMRC
- Managing, developing and supporting process/IT improvements and collaborating with internal customers, forwarders and agents
- Supporting the Management team with budgeting, process changes and audits

**Your skills and experiences**:
**Essential**:

- Previous experience in people management
- Previous experience in an import/export role
- Familiarity with the legal requirements regarding importing and exporting of shipments
- IT competent with good MS Word and Excel skills
- Must be familiar with Customs Simplified Freight Procedure (CSFP)

The individual will report into the International Trade Solutions Operations Manager and will have responsibility for the efficient and economical movement of goods in accordance with company policies and in compliance with relevant national and international laws
