**Your new role**
You will be carrying out a range of roles & responsibilities defined in the Mental Health Act assessments as an autonomous practitioner & take responsibility for coordinating a multi-disciplinary assessment and oversee assessments appropriate to the servicearea. You will be managing a caseload of more complex & demanding cases & procedures including taking responsibility for authorising assessments of staff within the team using an IT system. You will engage with service users & carers assertively & where possibleoffer care/interventions in normal community environments. You will provide this with strong social care perspective to the work undertaken in the team & act as a social care expert to other teams/colleagues around Mental Health Act Legislation.

You will be working in a team with a partnerships & a supportive culture of innovation who work differently to improve delivering the targets of the team. The team actively participate in Inpatient & Community team meetings & clinical reviews, to help promoteteam cohesiveness, multidisciplinary working, & collaboration with colleagues in all parts of the Mental Health service.
**What you'll need to succeed**
- Current Professional Qualification in Social Work, Nursing, OT or Psychology. Registered with HCPC, NMC etc
- Approved Mental Health Practitioner Qualification with expert knowledge of relevant legislation
- Professional Qualification in Social Work and must be registered with the Social Care Wales
- 3 years post qualifying experience in health and/or social care setting
- Evidence of continual professional development
- Experience of courts skills (desirable)
- Experience of working within the requirement of the Mental Health Act 1983 and the Social Services and Wellbeing (Wales) Act 2014
- Evidence of working effectively in a high-pressure environment
- Experience of supervising students and/or staff in a statutory front line social care or health setting
