**The role**
As an Early Careers Advisor, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be responsible for ensuring that the correct mix of new talent is brought into Babcock to support our future growth requirements.

Day-to-day, you’ll support the Early Careers Manager in delivering the full life cycle including reviewing the early careers programmes to identify and implement improvements and changes necessary to ensure our programmes are attractive in the recruitment marketplace, but also providing high quality employees into the business as well as:

- Building strong relationships and working with key stakeholders and external organisations to develop the early careers programmes
- Ensuring the early careers programmes placements deliver the required output to meet both business and individual needs
- Monitoring and reporting the performance across the graduate, undergraduate and apprentice communities
- Providing support to other initiatives including the STEM returners programme, the diversity and inclusion agenda, and the university engagement initiative
- Working with the wider Early Careers team to share knowledge and best practice
- Working in partnership with the local training providers and colleges our apprentices attend

This role is full time, thirty-seven hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with three days in the office/onsite and two days working from home.

**Essential experience of the Early Careers Advisor**
- Good knowledge of early careers development and recruitment practices including experience in identifying the most effective methods to develop and retain talent and shaping bespoke programmes to meet both business and individual needs
- Able to ensure that company policies, procedures and processes are developed, reviewed, updated, and implemented as required
- Understand the apprenticeship funding process
- Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
- Methodical and ability to use own initiative
- General knowledge of employment legislation

**Qualifications for the Early Careers Advisor**
- Educated to A Level standard or equivalent (level three of the national qualification framework)
- CIPD qualification (desirable)
