Clinical Support Worker

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified and enthusiastic individual to join the Physiotherapy Team within the Buckinghamshire Neuro Rehabilitation Unit (BNRU) at Amersham General Hospital, as a Band 3 Physiotherapy Clinical Support Worker. This is a part time post of 15 hours over two days, on a Wednesday and Thursday.
The BNRU provides specialist inpatient rehabilitation for people with an acquired brain injury or progressive neurological conditions.
The post holder will support qualified Physiotherapy staff by implementing and undertaking designated patient assessment and treatment programmes.
To be an integral member of the BNRU Physiotherapy team, delivering therapeutic treatments to patients under the direction of senior Physiotherapy staff.
To take responsibility for designated elements of the patient treatment.
The successful post-holder must be an excellent communicator and motivator. Experience of working within a Therapy setting is desirable.
Proven organisational skills are crucial. An ability to work in close cooperation, liaison and with the broader healthcare workforce is essential. They will have proven ability as a team player.
An ability to take responsibility, be flexible and have a sensitive and empathetic approach is needed. Participation in manual handling tasks is crucial and the post-holder must be able to undertake the physical and manual handling requirements of the post.
Opportunities for training and development are available through training and appraisal.
The post requires rota'd weekend working as part of your working normal hours.
