An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Physiotherapy clinical support worker on our enablement service on Chartridge ward. We are looking for someone who is passionate about older people to work alongside other members of a the team.

Chartridge ward is a 22 bedded in-patient quick turnover enablement unit based at Amersham Hospital. The patients are admitted with a wide variety of conditions but would have had a plan from the acute hospital setting or community setting they came from of where they would be going after discharge.

The post holder will be working alongside other members of the ward team Physiotherapists, nursing staff, OTs, discharge coordinators and health care assistants and required to partake in weekend working

To support qualified Physiotherapy (PT) staff by implementing and undertaking designated patient assessment and treatment programmes.

To document, evaluate and feedback to qualified PT following all interventions.

To support the Physiotherapy team in non-clinical tasks.

To participate in the seven day therapy service.

To promptly report any equipment failures or accidents to the supervising therapy staff and other appropriate member of staff, following the correct department procedures.

To undertake the organisation of cleaning, preparation and issuing of equipment to patients as directed by qualified staff, in accordance with infection control and Health and Safety policies.
