Are you an experienced Accounts Receivable specialist? Would you like to work for a world leader as their Head of Credit Control?

Based between home and Brentwood, your role will report into the Financial Operations Controller and will be accountable for leading and developing a high-performance AR Team in a fast moving Shared Service Centre.

This role will lead and direct the Credit Control operations team. You will need to develop, mentor and grow the existing team and work in conjunction with the Order to Cash transformation lead to roll out and adopt new working practices.

Key duties will include:

- Setting monthly collection targets
- Running the monthly overdue debtor calls with the business and collections team
- Managing the internal/external debt collection and any subsequent bad debt write off process
- Conducting monthly performance reviews with the collectors on their respective ledgers
- Setting, monitoring and reviewing credit limits
- Continually reviewing and improving credit control and billing working practices to improve collection rates
- Overseeing monthly financial closing
- Managing relationships with all business customers and key stakeholders
- Recruiting, managing and developing staff within the credit control team

The Person:

- At least 5 years’ experience in the Accounts Receivable area
- Hands on people management experience (team of 8)
- Extensive knowledge of the Accounts Receivable/Order to Cash process to include billing, credit and collections
- Effective organisational and planning skills
- Team player with robust IT skills
- Background working for a large matrix organisation
