We are a London and Hampshire based creative furniture company designing and manufacturing commercial furniture within the UK. We are currently a team of 50 with ambitious growth plans.

Rawside design and manufacture high quality furniture for the contract market and are currently in the process of launching a new B2C furniture brand. Most of our customers are within the UK but we have recently completed a number of successful projects in Europe and expect to expand these markets. Our environmental credentials are a key part of our business and having recently been certified as a BCorp business we are keen to improve our positive impact on the environment, our community and our team.

We are looking for someone to join our team and work with our Operations Manager & Procurement team in the management of purchasing and supply chain.

**You are**:
Energetic and willing to learn, with good judgment, the ability to negotiate and effectively communicate with suppliers, an analytical mind who can easily understand the purchasing, supply chain and ERP systems. You are confident, able and willing to suggest, investigate and introduce improvements and new processes. You enjoy analysing and solving complex problems and have careful attention to detail.

**Your role**:
Review and Place Purchase Orders
- Gain a thorough knowledge of our products, Bills of Materials and components
- Learn and fully understand our MRP system and work with Operations and Design in setting up new products, and supplier pricing
- Liaise with supply chain and build good working relationships to ensure that we obtain best pricing and service
- At regular intervals, price-check suppliers and where necessary source new suppliers
- Before placing an order, carefully check purchase orders for accuracy, completeness and clarity.
- Verify that product information, shipping information, cost and delivery dates are all correct before obtaining authorization to place an order.
- Place purchase orders, proactively chase and manage suppliers and provide weekly updates to relevant departments to ensure goods arrive on time
- Work with finance team in verifying accuracy of purchase invoices

Schedule Purchases and Arrivals
- Work with vendors to schedule shipping and delivery times.
- Receive any orders and verify that the correct items and amounts have been delivered.

Stock Management
- Proactively seek stock data from warehouse and workshop teams
- Adjust stock levels to suit real data
- Be involved in the management and processing of quarterly stock takes

**Your skills & education**:

- Interest in manufacturing industry
- Interest in procurement processes, policies and procedures
- Interest in using and understanding MRP software systems
- Strong emphasis on accuracy and detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, particularly Excel
- Good time management and organizational skills
- Good mathematical knowledge
- Excellent communication skills
- Degree level qualification or similar
